Jeffrey S. Sager, MD, MSCE, FACP, FCCP

Dr. Jeffrey Sager practices Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine and maintains a selective primary care practice in Santa Barbara. 

 

Prior to moving to Santa Barbara in 2007, Dr. Sager taught at the University of Pennsylvania. As an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Penn, Dr. Sager served as the Associate Medical Director for the Lung Transplant program. Today, Dr. Sager directs the Cottage Pulmonary Hypertension Center. Dr. Sager continues to teach medical students and residents at Cottage Hospital as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine for the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.

 

Dr. Sager is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a Member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinicians and Researchers for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. He serves as a member of the Scientific Leadership Council for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Dr Sager is an active member of the American Thoracic SocietyCentral Coast Medical Association, California Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians. Dr Sager has participated in several landmark clinical trials in pulmonary hypertension and has numerous publications in the field.
